I hate blogger... I just lost my post. UGH.
Jenna, Jeremy Adams and I just got back from Bethel. We had great fun boating (everyone else fished, but I decided not to due to my elbow) with Suttons and Cabelas, with Megan, Micah & Nathan in their boat. It was rainy, windy, and cold but I had the time of my life. A great memory. I even got to walk on Tundra as Brother Bobby pulled over to spot just so I could do so. I even invented the Tundra roll ~ you'll have to ask any of those present about that ~ I'm sure Jenna will be sharing it ~ smile. It started out very relaxing but as I got wet, I got cold. The ride back felt like I was on the ocean. I was glad I was prayed up ~ as I found myself really praying as we were flying through the air on the huge waves. Then I even experienced the state trooper pulling us over doing a general registration check. I couldn't believe it, cold and rainy and they choose then to do it. It was an experience I'll never forget. Though I was wet and cold, I really was relaxed in a way I hadn't been for a long time.
Brother Jeremy shared some great thoughts in his preaching. Now we're about to head off to begin revival here in Anchorage. I'm looking for God to really bless.
Oh by the way Megan and Nathan caught several Pikes in their boat. Jeremy and Rusty each caught two Pikes in our boat. That was pretty good for Rusty seeing he spent most his time helping everyone else and laughing as they fished.
Sister Tammi, I actually took Jeremy's camera so I did get a picture of one of his fish. We'll be sure he get's picture.

Copper River Reds Salmon
Brother and Sister Texture gave us some Copper River Red Salmon. I understand the Copper River isn't open for everyone to fish AND it produces the best Red Salmon. Well I still hadn't become real fond of Salmon yet and I had never cooked it, yet grilled it before in my life...but...my mother-in-law and her friend, Barb (who by the way, I've been having a great time with both of them), are here and we wantedto grill it for them. I asked my boss, who is always grilling out and loves every kind of seafood there is, for a recipe. Here's what he wrote down for me butter, White Worstershire sauce, lemon pepper, Lawry's season salt, garlic, brown sugar and lemon juice. No amounts of any kind. So...I just went at it. He said grill with the skin down and slow and when it's done the meat will slide out on the spatula leaving the skin behind (you may have all known this but this was new to me ~smile). I did and it turned out PERFECT and I LOVED IT, and so did everyone else, except Joleesa. Ugh, that girl is worse then me at getting that "idea" of fish and the "smell" of fish out of her head. It was really good. AND I DID IT!
By the way, does that make me a true Alaskan now?
I'm looking forward to having a good service tomorrow and then in the afternoon the youth and I will be going out to do a combo scavenger hunt/pass out tracts and revival fliers. Please pray we have a good turn out of young people. Jeremy, there are lots of prayers going up for you.

Update
Well obviously I'm back from the Adams' It was a great visit. They have so become family to us. We didn't really do much of anything but relax and visit. God was so good to give Sister Tammi her voice back while I was there as we shared so much together as did Brother Ray. I love them dearly. I did play Monopoly with Darren. Not just any Monopoly but MEGA Monopoly. That's what's it's called. There are additional properties (4 vs 3 to make a set). You don't just buy houses and motels, but you can buy skyscrapers (while they last). You also put train depots on the railroads. It was fun, but I got whipped. Darren made it a slow death for me as I kept landing on his skscrapers and I didn't have the $2500 to pay it he took whatever I offered until I finally said, it's ok for him to win (it was midnight) ~ grin. I would like to play again with more people.
I got home at 1:30 am and really didn't sleep much that night cuz of things that Brother Nowling had shared with me when I got home. I felt the burden, but the weekend gave me more of a calm to be able to deal with some of the things.
Monday night we cleaned house and got the room ready for my mother-in-law and her friend that were coming in Tuesday. AND I went to bed at 9:30 pm. I just couldn't keep going.
Tuesday when I got here they were here. Excited and raring to go. They're in their late 70's and early 80's. This is my mother-in-laws first time flying. She is in awe. Barb, her friend is a hoot. She's travelled alot as she has retired from Northwest Airlines (that's how Mona, Jody's mom was willing to come). We went to dinner last night at The Peanut Farm and saw all kinds of Pink and King Salmon swimming in Campbell Creek right outside the restraunt. It was great. Then we went over to the WildBerry Company for them to see the huge Chocolate Fountain. We had get home so that I could do the state books so we didn't do any real sightseeing.
Today Jessa is taking them to Baluga Point and Aleyska and they are going to take the Tram. Tomorrow hopefully Joleesa (she needs to find someone to cover for her)will be taking them around.
Oops it's late I've got to get to work. Have a good day

Yipee! Sister Tammi's Got Her Voice Back!
Now Brother Ray's not necessarily saying Yipee, but I wasn't wanting to have to be the only one doing the talking. I have been having a great visit with these two precious people. It has been so long since I have spent time like this, just doing nothing but fellowshipping. I got in at 8:10 am and Sister Tammi and went to breakfast, and we came back to the house and I expected to shower and change to go the cemetary service that Brother Ray was officiating over. He reiterated his wife's email message to me that I didn't have to go, I was still going to but when he said they would only be gone about 1 1/2 hours I thought my body really does need a nap. I made myself comfortable on their couch and was out in seconds (I hadn't slept much on the flight as the man two seats down from - the seat next me was empty, PTL, had such body odor it was terrible, with their cat Sasha laying on me. Now I'm not an animal fan, but I don't hate them, and it was cozy having her on me and I slept really sound until I turned over and heard the loud thud...oops Sasha is now been thrown on the floor, but I didn't realize that until later. It was a very refreshing nap, and when they said they'd be back at noon they were.
We literally visited all day about the joys and trials of life. Then we went out for Mexican (my choice) and I had the Chimichonga (?) outside of El Patio in Menomonie. Then we drove around town and girls, I saw cows again. Not moose cows, how cool is that~ great big grin. AND girls I had DAIRY QUEEN with no wait ~smile. Anchorage got a new DQ and we've been wanting to go but the lines have been miles long (not an exageration). We came back and visited some more and then went to bed. I slept well and was up 8 am and the visiting has been going on again today. We'll be going to the store in a little bit and then Brother Ray's going to grill out and then I'm trying to convince Brother Ray and Darren to play some cames with us. Darren says if we'll play monopoly, ugh! Brother Ray (or Tammi in his behalf) says Dominoes ~ I can handle that. I'll have to let you know what we wind up playing and with whom ~ grin.
It just feels so good to be here!

Short Post
Was yesterday the 4th of July? I wouldn't have known except that I had the whole building at work to myself. I had the gospel radio station playing quite loud and it was playing religous, patriotic music (there really is such a thing-"The Statue of Liberty" for one). I got so much accomplished at work. It makes a difference when there are no phones or people to interrupt. It made the day not seem like a holiday, let alone the 4th of July. I have been told they DO do fireworks here but they do it at midnight as to have some semblence of a dark sky to go against. I climbed into bed at midnight. So my July 4th was just another day.
I'm headed out tonight (or early tomorrow morning - 2 am) to Sister Tammi Adams. I am really looking forward to the visit. I almost all packed, except I have to get some small bottles of things as I am not checking my bag. I hope to get home and go right to bed to get a few hours of sleep. I'm not one that can go a little sleep.
Please pray for my co-worker Ronada, she has some major health problems and the medication leaves her impaired so she has been told she can't come to work until the doctors get her medicine regulated. She is on her 4th doctor and she is scared.

A Visitor From My Past
Yesterday, Joel Becker (and his wife, Joy and his son Isaac) from The Dunn County News, where I worked for 9 years in Menomonie, WI met me at the Daily News and I gave them a quick tour and then Jody, Joleesa, and Jenna met us and we went to the Artic Roadrunner for dinner. It was so good seeing someone from Menomonie. He was the editor and then assistant editor while I was there. He's now working part-time at the paper as working in youth ministry for one of the Lutheran church's in Menomonie. Him and his wife are very talented musically and in many ways. They're great people and their son is so cute. At 2 years old the little guy talks up a storm. Joel's sister live in Palmer (just outside of Anchorage) so this is actually his third visit to Alaska. He even brought me Legacy Chocolate. It's chocolate truffles made in Menomonie that is the best chocolate. You buy it by the piece. And by the percentage of cocoa and then flavoring of course. Legacy has even been Nationally proclaimed through various magazines. It's awesome chocolate and it was great for them to bring me (us ~ yeah I'll HAVE to share). It was a nice visit anyway.
Nothing special is happening this weekend. Blogland is really quiet with camps and convention. But next week I get to go see our precious SISTER TAMMI ADAMS! Yes. I'm so looking forward to just being with her. I actually approached my bosses boss and asked if I could work the 4th of July and have Friday off so I could leave out early to go see her. He wanted to know what I'd do on the 4th with everything be closed. I assured him, I had plenty of work to keep me busy. He said he didn't know but he'd check with HR to see if it was even possible. I was basically figuring it wasn't going to happen. But this past week my co-worker has had some strange health problems and I've had to deal with some heavy stress with helping her (our immediate boss was on vacation). He called me into his office to ask me questions about that whole situation. We then talked about some other things and then he said, oh by the way, you can work Wednesday and have Friday off. AWESOME. My flight will leave out about 3 am in the morning on Friday and I will get in to Bellingham about noon. It'll only be two days but it'll be great to visit with her and Brother Ray.
I am so needing to get away. ~laugh ~ So many others are wishing just to be able to stay home (including Sister Tammi probably) and I'm wanting to go. You need to remember when we were in Wisconsin we were going somewhere at least once a month. Kenosha, Des Moines, Minnesota, and even Canada. Here you have to fly pretty much everywhere so we haven't left Anchorage but once to go to Bethel and that was in March. Anyway, most importantly, I'll have Sister Tammi to fellowship with and I'm looking forward to that the most.
When I get back from WA my mother-in-law (and her friend whom we've never met) we'll be coming up that Tuesday, 7/10 and staying through the 17th. They'll stay busy doing a lot of sightseeing, some with us and some on their own. I'd like to say I'm looking forward to her coming; we use to be really close but when we left, she said some real hurtful things to me and I'm praying to find that place of healing and forgiveness but I haven't yet. Also, I don't know her friend...so ~sigh ~ I don't know what to expect.
After that I'll head to Sutton's for the weekend revival with Jeremy Adams, he'll then be coming to our place and hold revival for us here in Anchorage. Pray that the Lord will really use him. I'm looking forward to having him in our home and I've already told Sister Tammi we may just adopt him as our son ~ grin.
So anyway ~ life will be picking up speed a little after this weekend. AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT! Remind me I said that if I start to complain.
Well, I suppose I should go get dress. Yup, I'm still in my pj's. I got up at 9 am (really woke up at 7:15 am when Jody got home, but dozed off and on), cleaned house, planted some houseplants, did laundry and blogged. Now, I'll get dressed and go grocery shopping. Yeah! Fun. The sun has come out, so thats good.
I'll be looking forward to hearing about camps and conventions soon.

The Ends of The Earth is In Alaska and it's Beautiful!
Jody, Joleesa and I went about 40 miles away past Palmer to the Sitsna River and I think mountains to Hatcher's Pass. It is AWESOME. We went until the world, I mean the roads in the mountain literally ended. There was an old mining town at the end. We'll go again and get out and walk around. Though it was still lots of light, it was getting late and we needed to get home. SO we'll go again. Let's see if my pictures tell it...
This is where it ENDED!
Here's Hatcher's Pass Lodge, the only thing up there other then the dead miners town. Pretty cool.
Joleesa took this standing up through the sunroof...she all but froze but got a great picture. Can you see the glacier?
This one is specifically for Brother Smith!
